The MRLK Investment banking is a specialized sector within the financial services industry that focuses on helping governments, corporations, and institutions raise capital, manage risk, and execute complex financial transactions. Unlike retail or commercial banks, which primarily handle deposits, loans, and everyday financial services, investment banks operate on a larger scale, dealing with securities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and advisory services that shape the global economy

What we do
We serve as intermediaries between companies and investors. When a company issues stock or bonds, the bank helps determine pricing, structures the offering, and ensures successful distribution. For example, during an Initial Public Offering (IPO), an investment bank may purchase a large portion of the company’s shares directly, then resell them to investors. This process provides the company with immediate capital while transferring the risk of distribution to the bank.

Our Services

Sales & Trading

Investment banks connect buyers and sellers of securities, facilitating liquidity in financial markets. They may also trade securities using the firm’s own capital to generate profits.

Underwriting

Investment banks facilitate capital raising by underwriting securities. This involves assuming responsibility for distributing shares or bonds to investors. There are three main underwriting methods:

Firm Commitment: The bank buys the entire offering and assumes risk for any unsold shares.

Best Efforts: The bank attempts to sell as many shares as possible but can return unsold shares to the issuer without financial liability.

All-or-None: If the bank cannot sell all shares at the agreed price, the deal is canceled, and the issuer receives no funds

Asset Management

Investment banks advise companies on buying, selling, or merging with other businesses. They provide valuation expertise, negotiate terms, and structure deals to maximize shareholder value

Sales & Trading

Many investment banks manage portfolios for individuals, corporations, and institutions. Their goal is to optimize returns while balancing risk, often through diversified investment strategies.

Equity Research

Analysts within investment banks study industries, companies, and market trends. Their reports guide investors in making informed decisions and often support the bank’s sales and trading activities.
